Must be 15 years old by opening night to be cast.
Please prepare a 30-60 second, memorized musical selection in the style of the show. An accompanist will be available so please provide your own sheet music in the correct key. A sound system will be available for those using a track, but it is not preferred. A capella auditions are strongly discouraged.
There will be a general dance audition so please have comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear.
If you are unable to attend auditions, video auditions must be received by Friday, August 2 at 7:30pm - please send completed audition form, contact calendar, and video(s) to hpct.info@gmail.com. Please include a full view of you performing 8-12 measures (15-30 seconds) of any choreography you have performed before. If you have any special talents (handstands, backflip, fouettes etc) be sure to show those as well. If you do not have prior choreography, please still include a dance portion in your video as this will be a dance heavy show and we need to see you move.
MAMMA MIA! tells the story of Sophie, a twenty-year-old bride-to-be who longs to have her father walk her down the aisle. The problem is, she has no idea who he is! After reading her mother’s diary, filled with her mom’s adventures in love, Sophie invites each of the three potential fathers to her wedding. With nonstop laughs and exhilarating dance numbers set to the iconic music of ABBA, MAMMA MIA! has been a global smash hit since its premiere on Broadway in 2002. Notable songs include “Take a Chance on Me,” “Super Trouper,” “Dancing Queen”, and more!
